Message - Mine have always had oil leaking issues (internally) - they were removed and taken in three times for inspection and re-sealing. All three times the shop said the components look fine, yet they would still leak (and even they noticed this).

On top of that, the largest nissan/import mechanic/tuner/importer in the area also agrees they're bad turbos. He has been working specifically on z's since the s30 days, and within the last decade branching out to S chassis (240sx) cars and skylines. In his experience he has seen more of those turbos fail than he can count, and he said they never work as well as they should, especially on the skyline.
